All American Football League to Conduct Invitation-Only Texas Try-Out at Rice Stadium in Houston

What: Will conduct an invitation-only national try-out camp

Where: Rice Stadium, Houston, TX

When: Wednesday, October 24, 2007: 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Thursday, October 25, 2007: 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

 

Background:

* The All American Football League will conduct an invitation-only national try-out camp. Players will try-out for roster spots on the Texas team and other League teams.

* The try-out will be conducted in four separate sessions:

• Players from Texas schools plus former Big 12 players will be on- field from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday.

• A second session will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday for former college players with NFL experience

• The third session will run from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday for players who formerly competed for schools in BCS eligible conferences.

• The final session will be for specialists (long-snappers, punters, and kickers) and will take place from 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.

* A press event will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Za Za Hotel in Houston:

League officials will provide a status report on the League.

Players eligible for the AAFL Draft will be introduced
