Larry Seivers Named President Of AAFL'S Tennessee Team

Tennessee Team Holds Team Workout at University of Tennessee's Neyland-Thompson Facility Saturday

KNOXVILLE, TN -- The All American Football League® (AAFL) Tennessee team conducted an invitational only workout for the 2008 inaugural season at the Neyland-Thompson Fieldhouse on the University of Tennessee campus Saturday, January 5, 2008.

Registration took place at 9:00 a.m. and workouts were held at 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Approximately 100 invited players had the chance to impress the AAFL's Tennessee team coaches, led by Head Coach Andy Kelly, former Tennessee quarterback.

Larry Seivers, AAFL Tennessee's newly-appointed President, was available to the media during the team workouts.

Seivers is a native of Clinton, Tennessee and a graduate of University of Tennessee at Knoxville with a BS in Education. During his tenure at UT he became a two-time All-American in '75 & '76 and a SEC Male Athlete of the Year in 1977. He was named to the Knoxville Sports Hall of Fame and the Anderson County Hall of Fame for Sports.

Seivers has earned a reputation as a prominent businessman in the Knoxville community and brings a great deal of experience and professionalism to the AAFL. For 20 years, he owned and operated a vending and food service company, which he sold in 1998 to Five Star Food Service, which is now located in Chattanooga Tennessee, after which he spent eight years as Vice President/General Manager of the East Tennessee Division for Five Star Food Service. He currently still consults for Five Star Food Service, and in October 2005 joined a partnership with Riverside C&D Landfill, LLC to own and operate a Class IV Construction-Demolition facility in Knoxville.

He currently resides in Louisville, TN with Sally, his wife of 23 years, and his children Jennifer, a student and volleyball player at Maryville College and Charlie, a student and football player at Tennessee Tech.

All American Football League® teams will play 10 games, beginning in April 2008. The spring schedule is designed to satisfy fans who hunger for quality football between the NFL and college seasons. The League's teams are located in avid college football markets, including Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Michigan, Tennessee and Texas.
