AAFL's National Tryouts at Ford Field in Detroit, MI on September 13th
A group of very talented local and nationally renowned football players attended the AAFL’s National Tryouts at Ford Field in Detroit, MI on September 13th. Over 50 University of Michigan and Michigan State alumni participated as well as many Big Ten alumni, former players from many other Division I programs and former NFL players.

Eric Crouch, QB Nebraska
In 2001, Crouch won the Heisman Trophy. During that year, he completed 105 of 189 passes for 1,510 yards and seven touchdowns, while also rushing for 1,115 yards and 18 touchdowns. |

John Navarre, QB, Michigan
At Michigan, John was a four-year letterman ... three-year starter at quarterback ... played in 50 career games and started 42 contests ... threw for over 200 yards 28 times in his career and over 300 yards on four occasions ... became first Wolverine to surpass 9,000 career passing yards ... completed 765-of-1366 passes (55.9 pct.) for 9,254 yards and 72 touchdowns ... holds seven season passing records and six career passing records at Michigan. |

Rondell Biggs, DL, Michigan
At Michigan, Rondell was a four-year letterman ... played in 41 career games and made 18 starts at defensive end ... collected 34 career tackles, 10 TFLs, seven sacks, two pass breakups and one fumble recovery. |

Kyle Brown, WR, Michigan State
At Michigan State, Kyle Brown played in 42 games, totaled 88 catches for 1,329 yards, and had six touchdowns. |

Fred Russell, RB, Iowa
At Iowa, Fred Russell was a second team All Big Ten selection... Ran the ball for 1,355 yards on 282 carries and scored 7 touchdowns... Started eleven games as a junior and rushed for 1,264 yards on 220 carries and scored 9 touchdowns. |
